Robert L. Visnick

Robert Visnick’s legal practice focuses on real-estate, elder law, estate planning, personal injury, and corporate law. He has been serving the Cape Ann area for over a decade. Raised on Cape Ann, Bob has deep roots in the community. He is the Rockport Town Moderator and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Education Foundation of Rockport, Temple Ahavat Achim, and Rockport Housing Partnership. He is the President-Elect of the Rockport Rotary Club and a member of the Sandy Bay Yacht Club Membership Committee. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar for Massachusetts, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Essex County Bar Association. He is a member of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce and is a past director of the Rockport Division of the chamber. He is a past-president and one of the founding members of the Cape Ann Referral Group. He is a 1984 graduate, cum laude of Suffolk University Law School, where he attended the evening division while teaching High School science during the day.
Attorney Visnick serves not only his community, he serves his country as well. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps, he has been a prosecutor, defense counsel, military judge, and educator. In that capacity he is an assistant staff Judge Advocate at the Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base. He also performs duties at MacDill Air Force Base at the 6th Air Mobility Center Legal Office. He is an adjunct faculty member of the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies and has taught seminars to senior military and civilian leaders in Senegal, Mali, and Belarus. Lt Col Visnick is a National Institute of Trial advocacy certified instructor and is a member of the Air Force Personal Estate Planning team. He actively drills at Hanscom AFB in Massachusetts and MacDill AFB in Tampa Florida.
Bob started in practice in the Navy JAG Corps in 1985. While on active duty, he was a prosecutor, defense counsel, disability law advisor, and legal assistance attorney. He was an instructor at the Naval Justice School, in Newport, Rhode Island, where he taught evidence, criminal law and trial attorney. He is an adjunct faculty member of the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies and has conducted seminars in Senegal, Mali, and Belarus on divers subjects in the areas of the law of armed conflict, international law, and the Law of the Sea.
Following his active duty tour, Bob practiced in San Diego, California as a professional liability litigator and criminal appellate defense counsel.
